Shane Dawson’s newest conspiracy video suggests that Chuck E. Cheese, a seemingly innocuous establishment for kids, has been keeping a suspicious secret under wraps. The second installment of Dawson’s comeback series, following its wildly successful premiere, investigates a fresh slew of conspiracies — ranging from fascinating to heart-wrenching — and one of them includes this famous restaurant chain.
Dawson recalled memories from his childhood at Chuck E. Cheese and his confusion over the pizza slices. The slices, which should have been round and even, were misshapen, leading Dawson to hypothesize that the employees actually gathered up uneaten pizza and consolidated the leftovers together to serve to new customers. Throughout the episode, Dawson tested this theory by analyzing real photos of Chuck E. Cheese pizza, even going so far as to visit Chuck E. Cheese for a firsthand account of its pizza. He also explored other aspects of the infamy surrounding the restaurant.

Apparently, not only has Chuck E. Cheese been accused of reusing its food, but the public has also grown distrustful of its addictive games and supposed manipulation of its players to keep them occupied, such as controlling the number of jackpots that occur. What is ostensibly entertainment, as shown in Dawson’s various clips, actually perpetuates gambling tendencies and instills unhealthy habits in impressionable, young minds. These inferences shine Chuck E. Cheese in an unfavorable light, which makes Dawson’s theory more plausible.
Shane Dawson’s notability has skyrocketed over the last several months, with his channel having reached over twenty million subscribers. The viewership of this conspiracy video has already surpassed seventeen million and is rapidly multiplying, which has prompted Chuck E. Cheese to make a public statement to E! News:
“The claims made in this video about Chuck E. Cheese’s and our pizza are unequivocally false,” they said. “No conspiracies here – our pizzas are made to order and we prepare our dough fresh in restaurant, which means that they’re not always perfectly uniform in shape, but always delicious.”
Despite the company’s efforts to save its reputation, the internet is going hysterical with arguments for Dawson’s theory and counterarguments against it.

I worked at Chuck E. Cheese and I have to say, that the conspiracy theory from @shanedawson is so fake. The pizza slices move when they move it from where they cut it to the pizza platter. Especially when they place a large pizza into a Xlarge pizza platter. pic.twitter.com/n4uHDmRnbz

Based on Dawson’s research and speculation, Chuck E. Cheese employees opposing his thoughts, and the company’s staunch refusal against his claims, the question still stands: Is Chuck E. Cheese another one of those corrupted establishments that feed off the profits of its customers, or is it an innocent victim of all the blame and scandal surrounding it?
