Divine Light

I wrote this because being a Latinx woman, I pretty much grew up on being Catholic and now it’s been a struggle to maintain that faith, and with the world and how it makes it a bit harder to become more faithful.

You you you

you

This divine I must walk through

And you

With a bible, never understanding

you tell me to make do

Is doubt a sin?

Will my faults punish my next of kin?

If I am in pain will you listen to my prayer?

If you do not answer

May I question you?

May I think that you are there?

You, omnipotent

You, omnipresent

God
