Interview With Alli Haber on New Single, “Alive” and Never Being too Young to Chase Your Dreams

16 year old pop singer-songwriter Alli Haber is making waves in the music industry with her new single, “Alive”. In the short span of a year that she has been making music, Alli Haber has toured with the Boys of Summer two years in a row and has been nominated for New Act of the Year in the New England Music Awards. I had the pleasure of conducting an interview with Alli to ask her about her blossoming career.

Congratulations on your new single, “Alive.” What inspired you to write this track?
Thank you so much! “Alive” was inspired by the feeling of something missing in our daily lives and wanting more than just the day to day things that continuously repeat.

What was your favourite part about touring with the Boys of Summer this year?
Touring with Boys of Summer was so amazing. The fans made the shows so high energy and getting to know the other artists and influencers was such a fun time!

It blows me away that you’re only 16! At what age did you start performing and making music?
Honestly, I have been singing ever since I can remember and I started writing music at a really young age. I have always known that this is what I want to do and as I got older, I started taking it more seriously.

How do you balance high school with your music career?
Since I record mostly in LA, it is a bit tricky to get out there as much as I would like just because school has to come first. The good thing is that I am able to get a lot of my school work done during the day, so by the time I get home I can focus on my music.

On tour and in the studio, you must meet a lot of amazing people, who is your favourite person that you have worked with so far?
Yes I have definitely met a lot of amazing people but one of my favorite people to work with is my producer in LA, Jason Strong. There is always such a good vibe in the room when we are working together and he is just super talented.

You have music videos out for both of your singles, are you hoping to make more in the future?
I definitely want to continue making videos in the future. I love bringing the song to life. It’s such a fun and creative process!

What do you hope to do with your music career, do you have any long-term goals?
I hope to continue learning, growing, and making lots of music. I’d love to collaborate with other artists and I absolutely want to keep touring.

Let’s imagine that you could create your own music festival, where would it be and who would you pick to perform with you?
Haha, well I would probably have it somewhere in Europe, like maybe Greece, just because it looks so beautiful there and that would be sick. I would have artists like Travis Scott, Billie Eillish, and Drake performing.

Any last thoughts?
Thank you guys so much for all the support! Make sure to check out “Alive” on Spotify and follow me on Instagram @allihabermusic.
