Last night Tyra Banks released a video on Twitter and Instagram, April 1st, where the supermodel confirms that for the first time in America’s Next Top Model history, there will be no age limit! Tyra Banks is coming back to be a host, and judge of the 24th season of ANTM. So not only will Tyra, herself be back, but now model of all ages can audition and be on the show!

“There have been 23 cycles of America’s Next Top Model, and every single cycle we say you have to be 27 years old or younger,” the supermodel, 43, said in a video message. “You know what I hear all the time? ‘Tyra, come on! Why have an age limit?’ So you know what? I’m taking that age limit off.”

Banks continued, “You want to audition for America’s Next Top Model? I don’t care how old you are, honey. You just need to know how to smize and be open to learning how to work the runway like a supermodel.”

“I’ve stood for diverse beauty and erasing cookie cutters when it comes to what is deemed beautiful,” Tyra explained. Now the show will be showcasing women from all different ages. Not just 27 and under. The only thing Tyra wants the contestants to have, is their ‘smize’ perfected.
