The Met Gala, one of the year’s most anticipated events in fashion, has come and gone but not without leaving audiences speechless. This year’s Met Gala’s theme was Camp: Notes on Fashion. And, after the breathtaking show that took place, I think we can all agree that we surely received plenty of notes on fashion.
With Lady Gaga stepping out in four different outrageously amazing outfits; show-stopping outfits worn by celebrities like Saoirse Ronan and Halsey and stars such as Harry Styles, Billy Porter and Ezra Miller, each of whom wowed in outfits that promoted gender fluidity and fashion at its best, the 2019 Met Gala was jam-packed with countless breathtaking moments. Here are just a few of the highlights from the show.
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga without a doubt owned the Met Gala. With not just one grand outfit but four, each one breathtaking in their own way, Lady Gaga absolutely stole the show and mastered this year’s theme, Camp: Notes On Fashion. While Gaga’s pink “parachute dress” — the one she started out with — was certainly gorgeous and very “camp,” Gaga surprised audiences and took things a lot further, not just once but four times. Transforming into a little black dress, which was followed by a sleek, pink gown, Gaga’s fourth wardrobe change left her clothed in a very “poker” inspired outfit which fans across Twitter absolutely adored.

Billy Porter
Billy Porter did not take this year’s theme lightly — not in the slightest degree. The actor made a grand entrance while clothed in a jaw-dropping, bejeweled, golden catsuit. Porter proceeded to wow audiences when the entirety of his outfit was revealed, ultimately transforming him into a golden angel with wings surpassing five feet tall. Porter, who is no stranger to stunning audiences at award shows and balls alike, has repeatedly strived to incorporate feminine themes in his outfit, and this catsuit is no exception.
THIS IS NOT A DRILL. Fashion God Billy Porter just stole the whole show. We NEED him to co-chair next year. 🙏 #METGala pic.twitter.com/ASFuMdBWWM

Now, this is how you do the Met Gala.
Harry Styles
Harry Styles, the youngest person to co-chair the Met Gala per creator Anna Wintour, was one of the most anticipated stars of the night, and he certainly did not disappoint. The singer-songwriter showed up decked out in a black, gossamer Gucci suit paired with lace, pearl earrings, and blue and black painted nails.

Styles, who was coined as a “young Mick Jagger” earlier in the evening during coverage of the red carpet on E! News, continuously aims to break gender barriers, ultimately embracing his feminine side which fans all across social media went wild over.
Jared Leto
It’s no secret that Jared Leto, actor and musician, usually goes all out for the Met Gala. And, after last year’s stunning outfit, Leto was yet another highly anticipated celebrity at the gala. Jared Leto stunned in an impeccable red piece decked out in shiny jewels. And that’s not all — Leto brought along a plus one. That’s right: he brought his head! This undeniably shocking add on took fans by surprise . . . but that doesn’t mean they didn’t love it any less.

Florence Welch
This particular musician stepped out to the met gala decked out in a rather ethereal outfit, perfectly suited for this year’s theme. Florence Welch wowed in a jaw-dropping dress paired with a purple cape and jeweled wings to match. The Florence + the Machine singer looked very much like a beautiful fairy at this year’s Met Gala.

Katy Perry
Yet another extremely anticipated star at the gala, Katy Perry took “camp” to the next level, showing up to the Met Gala decked out as a chandelier. Clothed in shimmering jewels, Perry rocked a candelabra as a headpiece and as a skirt. To match, Perry wore shimmering shoes and glittering jewels around her neck.

Though the outfit proved to be a tricky ascend up the stairs, it was totally worth it: Katy Perry rocked this year’s theme and looked beyond beautiful.
Kacey Musgraves
The country singer-songwriter transformed into a real-life Barbie doll for the Met Gala. Decked out in all pink and a blonde wig, Musgraves absolutely amazed in a hot pink number paired with a fur piece, sunglasses and the purse to match.

Musgraves was certainly victorious in following the theme, her Barbie inspired look definitely being one of the most “out there” outfits of the night.
Lily Collins
This actress, known for her sleek and elegant style, took everyone’s breath away on the night of the Met Gala. Lily Collins arrived in a ravishing, ruffled white dress and black heels. Now, while Collins looked absolutely divine in the white gown, all of the attention was on the actress’s old Hollywood hairstyle which looked gorgeous with a white headband and flowers to match. Collins also rocked a dramatic, beautiful makeup look with extreme lashes and intense purple eyeshadow.
