You know fall is coming when Starbucks starts selling Pumpkin Spiced Lattes again, so why not start preparing for your favorite fall event – Halloween? In South Africa we don’t celebrate Halloween, but I’ve heard horror stories about last-minute costume shopping that involves – you guessed it – no costumes. If you’ve been a victim of that before, then you know you don’t want to go through it again. If you haven’t… well, congrats. Best not make Halloween ’18 your first costume-less experience. I’ve scoured the world wide web and assembled a list of costumes below that’ll make you and your bestie the ultimate dynamic duo, so grab a pen and page and start taking notes!
Milk And Cookies
Have you ever in your life seen a more cohesive duo? Milk and cookies are a classic combination, and there’s no doubt that with these costumes, you’ll win the group/couple costume contest. Studio DIY has a step-by-step guide on how you and your partner in crime can make the costume above. The end result makes the costume look a lot more difficult to make than it actually is.
Taco Belle
It took me a couple of seconds for this rather punny one to click, but once it did, I thought it was priceless. Who doesn’t love Mexican food, and better yet, paired with Disney? I mean, come on. You know you want to steal those costumes for yourself.
The Devil And The Angel
All you need to pull this one off is a halo and a headband with horns on it. Easy peasy, right? You can purchase those on Amazon or your local China town with the money at the bottom of your backpack, or, if you’re feeling up to it, make them yourself. This costume could work especially well if you plan to twin with your… well, twin.
Snapchat Filters / Social Media
Want to know the best part about dressing up as a Snapchat filter? There are so many to choose from that you’ll never feel creatively limited. It’s perfect for the ultimate makeup-crazy duo and doubly perfect if you want yourself to come across as the most relatable person in the room.

Peanut Butter And Jelly
Out of all the costumes I’ve mentioned so far, this one has got to be the easiest to recreate. You can buy full on PB&J costumes or print t-shirts, but all you need is a bold sharpie and some old clothes. This costume is picture perfect for your Instagram or Snapchat story, because no matter how… artistically challenged you are, there is almost no possible way to mess this one up.
Good luck with your adventurous costume endeavors and I hope you all have a spooktacular Halloween!
