1.Ms Marvel Ms Marvel is arguably one of the best marvel books around. Kamala Khan is a Pakistani-Muslim teenager in Jersey City fighting crime all while trying to keep her personal life at peace. She is such a relatable character and is one of the most diverse books in the comic industry right now. G. Willow Wilson continues to do an awesome job on Ms Marvel. I would definitely recommend it!
2. The Defenders Your favorite Marvel Netflix heroes come together to fight a certain power! I’ve read the first 3 issues and I am absolutely in love with this book. Brian Michael Bendis re-creates his New Avengers magic writing into this book & along with David Marquez’s visually stunning art, this book is automatically a win. If you like gritty, street-level hero stories — then I would 100% recommend this.
3. Hawkeye Kate Bishop has taken up the mantle of Hawkeye and she’s been doing an awesome job at it. The series is centered around west-coast mysteries and crime. Kate has opened up her own private detective office hoping to keep her super-heroing low-key. The book is filled with awesome scenes of Kate being a badass archer and her amazing use of her detective skills all while dealing with friendships and romantic relationships. If you like detective mysteries, I would suggest this.

- Black Panther
Our favorite tribal king and superhero, Tchalla continues to fill his duties of being a superhero and ruler of Wakanda. Ta-Nehisi Coates does a great job adding a politics to the series and it’s interesting to see a superhero deal with different types of politics in a country all while dealing with supervillians threatening his country. The art continues to be amazing compliments the book as well.
- Ultimates 2 Captain Marvel, Spectrum, Black Panther, Blue Marvel, and America Chavez team up to explore the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe. Al Ewing has been writing this book to be an amazing epic! The team deals with cosmic-level characters & different entities. Al Ewing continues to do an amazing job of fixing the outer-space cosmic and creates great new storylines in the Marvel Universe. I advocate this book to readers who love cosmic stories.
- Champions Ms.Marvel, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Nova, Hulk (Amadeus Cho), & Cyclops team up to fight for the people. Mark Waid is no stranger to writing teenage characters and he does a great job on it capturing the optimistic, idealistic, and fun traits of teenagers. I like the diversity and inclusion that these characters represent. This book is colorful and refreshing. This book tackles a lot of issues that the world is experiencing right now and it’s needed. Champions is the book we definitely need right now.
