If you scrolled through your Twitter feed this week, you probably saw something about the recent cheating scandal involving Kevin Hart and Eniko Parrish, his wife. And as you might remember, this is not the first time Kevin Hart has been unloyal to a spouse. After their divorce in 2011, his ex-wife, Torrei Hart, revealed to the press that their marriage ended due to infidelity. It has been speculated for a while that Hart and Parrish began their relationship before that 2011 divorce, and the rumor was finally confirmed true when Parrish revealed on social media that they had been together for eight years (even though it’s only been six years since Hart’s divorce).
Since the release of the alleged sex tape where Hart is caught cheating, the internet has been in chaos. It is rumored that this tape was an attempt at an extortion, bribing Hart for money in exchange for the tape not being released. At this point in the case, they are not a lot of concrete facts, because the FBI investigation prevents a lot of the case from being released. Following the release of the tape, Kevin Hart posted a teary-eyed apology to wife, Eniko Parrish, on Instagram. This seems to have worked, as Eniko Parrish was seen a few days after the video was posted with her wedding ring still on her finger.
Many fans are speculating that the activity taking place on the sex tape was not actually consensual, alleging that Kevin Hart may have been raped. If in fact, this video is extortion, Hart may have been filmed without his consent, a crime that he can take legal action against. And at the time of the act, Hart was under the influence of alcohol and it is questionable as to whether he would have been able to give his consent to the act.
Although this case is currently complicated and cannot be completely understood yet, as details arise and come to light we can only hope that everyone involved will find peace and closure.
