Mark Salling is an American actor, mainly known as “Puck” on the hit show Glee. Mark starred on the show all the way from its first episode in 2009 all the way up to its last episode in 2015.
Although most people still remember Salling as Puck, member of the Glee Club and Football Team and also self-proclaimed “bada**”, what most people do not know is that he was arrested in December of 2015 for possession of child pornography. However, Salling posted bail later the same day that he was arrested and was released. This is not the first time that he has faced an issue with the law. The same year that he was arrested for possession of child pornography, Mark Salling’s then-girlfriend sued him after claiming that he shoved her and later forced her to have sex without a condom. Salling filed a countersuit for defamation of character.
After the initial arrest in 2015, there was no longer much talk about the child pornography charges. That was until lately. On Tuesday, Oct .4, when Salling pleaded guilty to having a stash of child pornography. With pleading guilty, Salling agreed to possibly spend up to 20 years in prison along with being registered as a sex offender for life. He “admitted to downloading more than 50,000 images of child pornography and erotica – sexualized images of children – on his laptop and another 4,000 photos and 160 videos of child pornography on a thumb drive.” Likewise, he also agreed to a lifetime of supervision if he were to ever be released from jail. The content that was found included children as young as 3 years old.
Mark Salling has agreed to a plea deal and will get up to 7 years in prison.
