Believe me, you’ll finish it in one sitting.
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green:

It is brilliantly written and explores the feelings of two teenagers who are battling different forms of cancer. A tragic love story that can bring anyone, and I do mean anyone, to tears. Give it a try; you won’t regret it.

GOOGLE. This book is an eccentric mixture of old, dusty tomes and Google. No, really. I am serious. The story goes from a quiet 24-hour bookstore to the Google offices, all in attempt to solve an old mystery. It’s quite amazing, and for the tech-whizzes out there, it is a dream book.

Love The Conjuring? You’ll love this. Although not entirely similar, this book is one of the best suspense novels I have ever read. The main character’s parents are sort of like the Warrens, and when they are murdered, the mystery behind their death is one that may be impossible to solve. With gothic overtones and an immersive plot, this book is perfect for people who enjoy suspenseful horror films.

Although it is fiction, this book has been the centre of controversy and protest — and those are usually the best kinds of books. Following Harvard Professor Robert Langdon, this story takes us through Paris in chase of answers to a great mystery. Symbology, Cryptology, art and much more! This book is, without a doubt, a page turner. This book garnered a lot of criticism, but Dan Brown’s story telling ability is exceptional. A non-reader will appreciate the fast moving plot filled with mystery and action.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams:

Science fiction at its best (and funniest). This book, and all in its series, is inspired by lunacy. It’s absolutely hilarious and utterly insane. Earth is about to be demolished to make way for a galactic free way and Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect embark on an eventful journey through space, with the help of quotes from The Hitchhiker’s Guide. Douglas Adams is an amazing mix of wit and wisdom, and it shows in his work. It is a laugh out loud ride that will never let go of your focus. If anything, you should read it, because it explores the meaning of life, and gives you and actual, no nonsense answer!
