Cooper & Gatlin have always been surrounded by songs. The brother-sister pop duo grew up in a town just outside of Nashville (also known as Music City). Their mom traveled with a band, and their dad is a Grammy-nominated producer. It was almost written in the stars that these two would grow up to be stars themselves.

Cooper & Gatlin are major up and comers – their debut single “Break” was released in late 2018. The song opens with nostalgia-evoking synth and mellow vocals. From there, the song erupts into an emotionally electric number. The hook (“I won’t let you see me break”) comes in often, making it the perfect song to sing along to. Although this is only their first song ever released, Cooper & Gatlin already have a musical maturity that is hard to come by.
The song received great feedback from websites like Popdust, The Music Mermaid, We Found New Music, and more. The single was featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist and has amassed over 325,000 listens. The official music video was released in September and has gathered over 612,000 plays. You can watch the music video down below.
Cooper & Gatlin have been kind enough to give Affinity Magazine an exclusive first listen to their new single, “Like You”! It’s hard to believe that “Like You” is only the second single released by this duo. Most artists take a while to find their sound, but Cooper & Gatlin have got theirs down. They’ve found their voice. “Like You” is an upbeat anthem with a unique sound. The catchy beat, clever lyrics, and smooth vocals make for a perfect addition to all of your playlists. It will be publicly available to stream on Friday, February 8th. Right now, you can listen to “Like You” by clicking the link below.
Cooper & Gatlin’s older-brother-younger-sister dynamic allows for a playful, yet profound, energy to come through in their music. These electro-pop performers are definitely ones to watch in 2019.
