Spencer Ludwig Premieres “Brand New” Ahead Of Tommy Hilfiger Denim Fall Campaign

Vocalist-instrumentalist Spencer Ludwig’s weekend is off to a fantastic start with the premiere and release of his latest single, “Brand New”. The chances are that you’ve heard of Spencer Ludwig before: he was part of the multi-platinum band Capital Cities as their trumpeter from 2012 to 2015. Alternatively, if high fashion is more your style, then you’ll probably know that he modeled as part of the 2019 spring and summer Tommy Hilfiger campaigns and you may not have known it offhand, but he’s got quite the number of musical accolades as a soloist as well.

For starters, “Best Life” (a previous single)  was the soundtrack for Royal Caribbean’s 2019 global campaign. He also performed at Vera Wang’s private Spring/Summer 2020 showcase and has been the supporting act for big-name artists such as Bebe Rexha. His first solo act, “Diggy” was so well-received that it was featured in the popular film Happy Death Day, appeared in Netflix’s Step Sisters, landed a spot in the video game Just Dance 18 and became the official soundtrack for Target’s 2016 fall campaign.

“Brand New” was written with some of my favorite people and is inspired by our friendship and the energy we feel and create whenever we’re together. We have a lot of energy and it always comes out in the music when we’re working together. It’s always been a bucket list goal of mine to have a song in a commercial and to also be featured in the same commercial. It is so exciting beyond words can express that this is now happening for me with “Brand New” and the Tommy Hilfiger fall campaign. I am ecstatic and extremely grateful. I distinctly remember the day that I saw the Leon Bridges/Gap ad and sending it to my co-writer Jon Pakfar as an example of the perfect marriage between a song, the artist and a brand, which is exactly how I feel about seeing “Brand New” and the new Tommy Hilfiger campaign.” 

“Brand New” is a song that gets you up and dancing right from the get-go. It’s an adrenaline-filled, feel-good rollercoaster from beginning to end. Tommy Hilfiger certainly shared the same appreciation for the song, too, because “Brand New” was the soundtrack to his fall 2019 denim campaign, which Spencer modeled in as well.
