Bob Weinstein Reveals Brother’s Disturbing Lack of Remorse for Unforgivable Actions

October 15, 20173 min read

Bob Weinstein recently opened up about his brother Harvey’s disturbing history of sexual assaults — specifically, the 30+ women who have accused him of sexual harassment or assault thus far.

Bob Weinstein, co-founder of the Weinstein Company alongside Harvey, has brought to light many of his personal feelings toward his brother’s actions; he claimed that the entire situation involving Harvey feels like a “waking nightmare.”

”I want him to get the justice that he deserves.”

Harvey’s accusations have led to his being fired and promptly removed from the company he and his brother founded. His brother explained that Harvey’s lack of remorse for what he has done — including harassment, abuse and even rape — is sickening: “I have a brother that’s indefensible and crazy.”

His comments about Harvey’s actions — and ultimately his sickening lifestyle — are extensive and thought out to a point of disbelief: “We understood he felt nothing. I don’t feel he feels anything to this day. I don’t.”

Harvey’s actions have not led to his repentance or shame in any way, in fact, Bob mentioned that his brother was much more concerned with who “leaked details of the assaults to the press.

Nothing about Harvey’s criminal history has pushed him to ask for forgiveness, regardless of the fact that at this point he should be begging for it. Instead, he continues to act as though he is being victimized.

“It’s unbelievable that even to this moment he is more concerned with who sold him out.” Bob Weinstein explained this further: “I don’t hear concern or contrition for the victims. And I want them to hear that. Harvey has no remorse whatsoever.”

According to Vulture, Bob Weinstein was aware of Harvey’s actions to an extent, further stating that even he was personally victimized by his brother in the past. He said that he had previously attempted to convince his brother to get help multiple times in wake of his actions: “I saw it and I asked him to get help for many years. And that’s the truth. He avoided getting the help. We begged him.” Of course, Harvey refused.

Bob has expressed his desire to write a letter to the Academy to persuade them to kick Harvey out, explaining that his brother needs to get what he deserves — as of right now, he surely does not deserve to be anywhere near the Academy.
