Here Are 5 Feel-Good Indie Tracks To Add To Your Playlist

January 7, 20183 min read

With incredibly catchy guitar riffs and choruses along with head-bobbing melodies, “Indie” is the perfect genre to lift your mood up. Here are some essential track you’ll be glad you found:

1. “She’s A Riot” — The Jungle Giants

One of my favorite indie tracks of all time, “She’s A Riot” is not only catchy musically but also lyrically. It has that signature melodic and upbeat sound of most indie songs, but is still so memorable and original to The Jungle Giants.

2. “Cigarettes In The Theatre” — Two Door Cinema Club

If you’re really into indie music, you’ve probably heard of Two Door Cinema Club and even some of their hits like “What You Know” or “Something Good Can Work,” but with an album full of gems like “Tourist History,” it would be a shame to miss out on tracks like “Cigarettes In The Theatre.” This high-intensity track has a killer guitar solo that will definitely be stuck in your head for weeks.

3. “Anna Sun” — Walk The Moon

Those who loved Walk The Moon’s hit “Shut Up And Dance” should check out one of the band’s older tracks titled “Anna Sun.” Just as catchy as any of their songs, “Anna Sun” has “summer vibes” written all over it and will definitely make you dance like lead singer Nick Petricca in their music video.

4. “Swim” — Fickle Friends

For those who were once obsessed with “Cool Kids” by Echosmith or “Reflections” by Misterwives (which both featured strong female lead vocals), “Swim” is the perfect song to add to your playlist.

5. “Brighter Than The Moon” — The Color Wild

One of my newest finds, The Color Wild’s fresh and lively sound caught my attention from my first listening. My favorite from their EP “Clean” has to be “Brighter Than The Moon” for it’s fun synth-pop melody and one of the catchiest chorus I’ve heard to date. Their impressive first EP no doubt deserves more recognition.

Happy Listening!
