Although she was involved in some drama after her toxic relationship being exposed and has been MIA for quite a while now, there’s no denying that Madison Beer has a whole lot of talent. Madison Beer gained media attention in early 2012 when pop star, Justin Bieber tweeted her cover of “At Last” by Etta James to his 25 million followers. This caused Madison to trend worldwide on Twitter and gain substantial media coverage. Justin Bieber also signed Madison to his record (Island Records) label and to his manager, Scooter Braun. Madison released her debut single and music video Melodies, on September 12, 2013.
After working on it for a three-year-period, Madison finally released her debut EP, As She Pleases. The EP features 7 songs with an R&B pop vibe and includes a bit of everything from happy songs to sad songs, songs about boys and songs about being who you are.
“I’m making sure I’m happy with all of the songs, because if I am not happy with them, I can’t expect anyone else to be, you know?”
The lead single of the EP, Dead, was first teased on the singer’s Instagram on May 12, 2017, and later released on May 19th. The single counted on a music video released on August 3rd and an acoustic version released on August 25th. After it was released, it was speculated that this song was about Madison’s ex-boyfriend, Jack Gilinsky; she denied this by saying that she didn’t even write the song. Madison released the second single and 7th song off the EP, Say It to My Face, November 3, 2017. The music video was released on November 15, 2017.
