While we dwell on how her man is her man and another woman’s man, SZA took the time in-between to collaborate with pop-rock band Maroon 5 and released “What Lovers Do,” Maroon 5’s third single since the release of “Cold”, which features Future. Parting with her usual, broken-hearted melodies, SZA comes together with Adam Levine’s pitch-perfect voice to produce an ‘I’m yearning for you’ love song.
The song innocently pushes a love story where the singers are wondering whether or not love is going to be reciprocated. Bordering on a ‘first crush’ vibe, “What Lovers Do” expresses unadulterated yearning for something in the name of love.
While Levine most usually outshines any singer featured on his songs, SZA pushes through with her sultry voice.
Something that was clearly insight for the frontman of Maroon 5.
Coupling with the release of the three singles, Maroon 5 fanatics and critics are expecting an album sooner rather than later, especially now that they have collaborated with America’s up and coming sweetheart, SZA.
