Young Thug Performs an Hour Late at All Things Go Fall Classic DC and Dazzles Crowd

October 8, 20173 min read

After Young Thug’s recent arrest on Sept. 26 for drug charges and tinted windows, it was up in the air as to whether Thugger would be able to perform at All Things Go Fall Classic DC. Luckily, the next day it was confirmed that he would still be performing on Oct. 7.

After asking much of the audience who they were here for, the majority said Young Thug. Vince Staples gave a stand out show, keeping the crowd engaged until the very end. After his performance, Young Thug was scheduled to perform; he was scheduled to perform at 10:15 p.m.

Ten minutes went by, and he still wasn’t there. Then 30, then 40 — still no Young Thug. People grew restless, and some even ended up leaving. Many people chalked it up and convinced themselves that Thug would never show up. It was almost midnight. Some fans were afraid, because the doors closed at 11:30 p.m.

Finally, at around 11:30 p.m., Thug emerged from backstage to an anxious crowd. Despite his late entrance, fans stayed and let go of harsh feelings. Young Thug ended up giving a stand out show despite only being able to perform around six songs — not even half of a full set. Still, he dazzled the audience and all was forgiven.

Young thug taught me you can be insanely late to your own show, and if you’re good, no one will care. Taking that attitude to work on Monday.

It was a close call, but Young Thug delivered last minute. All Things Go Fall Classic continues today, Oct. 8, with its final performers.
