It’s the music crossover I didn’t know I needed until now — country duo Dan & Shay have teamed up with Justin Bieber to release their new song “10,000 hours,” the lead to their upcoming fourth album. The Pop infused Country track was written by Dan + Shay’s Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, Bieber, Jordan Reynolds, Jessie Jo Dillon and Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd. It was produced by Smyers.
Just days before the song’s release, both artists teased the track on social media, with Justin calling the song “wedding music.” It has since been reported that he sang the song to his new wife, Hailey Baldwin at their wedding ceremony this week, which both Dan + Shay were also in attendance for.

The sweet love song is a perfect display of affection to their wives, as can be heard in the chorus, “I’d spend 10,000 hours and 10,000 more / Oh, if that’s what it takes to learn that sweet heart of yours / And I might never get there but I’m gonna try / If it’s 10,000 hours or the rest of my life / I’m gonna love you.”
Dan + Shay have already had a remarkable year with the success of their songs “Tequila,” “All to Myself” and “Speechless.” Most of these songs, including “10,000 hours,” have been inspired by their significant others. Their weddings were even included in the music video for their song “Speechless.”
It should come as no shock to fans of the country duo that they have teamed up with longtime friend Bieber on the track, as they have a history of supporting and performing with their industry friends whenever they can. Over the summer, they performed at Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s wedding and also joined the Jonas Brothers on stage during their tour in Nashville, where they performed hit song “Tequila.” It has also been revealed that they performed at Justin and Hailey’s wedding this week.
