The show had a variety of music in its soundtrack, ranging from The Beatles to Nicolas Cage covers… yep, Rihanna herself walked out at the end, walking to Nicolas Cage’s cover of Elvis Preseley’s “Love Me Tender” off the Wild at Heart soundtrack.
Rihanna is known for having unique themes to her shows, such as BMX tricks and pink sand dunes. This year, she went for a vegetation theme that included a substantial amount of greenery and glass.
Rihanna has always changed the game, conquering the music, makeup, and now fashion industry with body, age, and gender inclusivity. And she certainly did not disappoint with this year’s Spring lingerie show. Using a variety of up-and-coming and renowned models, she shook up the image of lingerie models. Though Bella and Gigi Hadid were certainly stars of the show, there was a much larger variety, which included models of all ages, ethnicities, and sizes. A pregnant Slick Woods walked in pasties, displaying her belly proudly.
This show was obscure and diverse, leaving none disappointed. With interesting music and interpretive dance, along with its variety of savage gals, this show was an impressive sight at this year’s New York Fashion Week.
