The Ultimate Christmas TV Guide!

December 23, 20185 min read

Following the ‘The Ultimate Halloween TV Guide‘, I thought it only suitable to follow up with a Christmas TV advent calendar countdown! I am going to leave the choice of what to watch purely up to you, but here are some recommended watches for this wintry season.

MY TOP TV SHOW RECOMMENDATIONS:

Doctor Who– Now this is a definite must! It is an annual Christmas tradition, especially if you live in the UK, you would know that (almost) every Christmas, there will be a new episode of Doctor Who. This show is filled with aliens, humans and well a doctor, but he isn’t any type of doctor, no, he is a alien-like doctor in human form who is out to save planet earth from destructive aliens such as the Dalecks or Cybermen. So, with that been said, here are my favorite Christmas specials: “Christmas Carol” + “The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe” + “The Snowmen” + “The Christmas Invasion” + “Last Christmas

The Office– This mockumentary is a MUST watch, especially when it takes a boring workplace such as an office, but manages to set you in cries of laughter. Moreover, these Christmas episodes, make it every way more enjoyable to watch. Here are The Office’s Christmas specials- trust me when I say, Michael’s inappropriate behavior will always boost up your mood, especially during the Christmas holiday: “Christmas Party” + “A Beninhana Christmas” + “Moroccan Christmas” + “Secret Santa” + “Classy Christmas” + “Christmas Wishes” + “Dwight Christmas

Pretty Little Liars– I don’t know about you, but as a teen, I have always loved re-watching some of my favorite TV shows, especially when they have festive specials! Though PLL is mainly known for their Halloween specials, they do still have a Christmas episode, which is equally as enjoyable to watch. This episode follows the girls as they prepare to have an Ice ball, however, it is almost too easy to expect that A is planning to interfere: “How the ‘A’ Stole Christmas

Friends– As Friends is a much loved show, it is only suitable to list all their Christmas themed episodes! More specifically, who needs Santa, when you can have a Holiday Armadillo? It is always fun to binge this series, especially when they are Christmas specials: “The One with Christmas in Tulsa” + “The One with the Monkey” + “The One with the Inappropriate Sister” + “The One with Phoebe’s Dad” + “The One with Ross’s Step forward” +”The One Where Rachel Quits” + “The One with the Routine” + “The One with the Holiday Armadillo

The Big Bang Theory– What better than following the lives of four scientists, and their struggles to obligatory find their neighbor a Christmas present, updating each other on missed holiday happenings and rekindling old Christmas memories:  “The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis” + “The Santa Simulation” + “The Holiday Summation” + “The Maternal Congruence

KIDS CHRISTMAS TV EPISODES AND SHORTS MOVIES:

I’m sure a lot of you have watched some of these shorts and movies as children. One of my favorite things to do, is to re-watch them every Christmas to really get me into the Christmas spirit and bring back memories of previous Christmas’:
